Yellowcard Announce Final Album & Farewell Tour

When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news.. After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour. – Yellowcard

That statement pretty much sums up today’s news. The band will hardly be going away quietly though – delivering one final album and world tour to celebrate with all of their fans. Their upcoming album, the self-titled, Yellowcard, will be released on September 30th on Hopeless Records, to be followed a week later by the US leg of their final tour.

There’s no way around it, this is a sad day for us at Emo At Heart. We’ve had the privilege of covering Yellowcard in the past and they have always put on some of the most electric and genuine live shows around. They’ll be right at the top of our list to check out during our local Vans Warped Tour spot this Summer, and you can check out our photos of them from 2012 and 2014 below.

Before we start saying our goodbyes, there’s that last album to get to. The first track and accompanying video for the appropriately titled “Rest In Peace” are out now. Check out the video, our past photos, and their Fall US tour dates below.
