Jukebox the Ghost – Keys In The Car

My love and appreciation for Jukebox the Ghost is well known around these parts (here, here, and here if you need a refresher), and their latest studio album, the self-titled Jukebox the Ghost – the band’s 4th such effort – was one of my favorites of 2014. When they announced that they would be recording the shows from their late Winter tour earlier this year to put out a live album, it was quite literally music to my ears.

After an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign to rally their financial support, the album is finally ready to make it’s debut in just a few short weeks – Long Way Home: Live, will be outDecember 2nd.

And as if that wasn’t enough to be excited about, the live album will feature a brand-new track, “Keys In The Car”, which was fully worked-out while the band was on tour!

Some songs have to be realized in the studio and then reinterpreted to work on the stage — this song was the other way around. The live arrangement came together so quickly and was so fun to play that we went ahead and played it on the whole tour. The question is what to do now in the studio… but, luckily, we love the way this song came out on the live record. – Jukebox the Ghost
