Say Anything Stream Entire New Album, I Don’t Think It Is
Surprise! Not only did Say Anything just announce a brand new album, I Don’t Think It Is, out tomorrow(!) February, 5th on Equal Vision Records, but they’ve released a full stream of the album a day early!
Frontman extraordinaire Max Bemis released an official statement on the band’s website about today’s release. It begins:
Hi, this is Max. My team and I decided to forego the dying art of the lead‐up and share our new record “I Don’t Think It Is” with you, right now, with no warning. Why? Obvious. I want to be like Bey. Not‐really‐kidding aside, I’ve become a bit weary of doing the same song and dance leading up to the actual endgame, people actually listening to something. It also seems to fit with the core of this record: me destroying any notion of feeling blasé about music.
And holy shit is this anything but blasé — this album gets in your face early and often. Turn it way up and prepare for repeat listenings. I think I’m at about turn 3 or 4 at the time of this writing, and I’m gleefully recalling the last time I saw Say Anything perform, watching Bemis attack the stage with reckless abandon — I cannot wait to see these new songs translated for a live audience.
